A younger child’s guide to adoption (booklet)

A younger child's guide to adoption booklet-thumbnailThis booklet tells a story of Harry who is being adopted. Harry explains what a birth family, foster family and adoptive family is, why sometimes birth parents cannot look after their children and the good things about living with an adoptive family. He then talks about an adoption panel and court.

The booklet includes two worksheets; one asking a child to name their likes and dislikes and the other one asking the child to make a list of important things they would like to take with them to a new family.
