The My Support Team activity invites children to write trusted people’s names on basketball singlets, then cut out and place their team on a basketball court. Alongside feelings check-ins and a confidence affirmation colouring page, the pack offers simple creative prompts for talking about emotions, relationships and strengths.
When a child finds it hard to name how they feel, explain who helps them, or put encouraging thoughts into words, these art therapy activities provide an approachable starting point. The printable pack is designed for children who respond well to drawing, colouring and hands-on emotional learning.
Two My Support Team worksheets use a basketball theme: one page has five blank singlets for writing the names of supportive people, while the next provides a basketball court for cutting out and arranging the team. It can help a child identify family members, friends, teachers, carers or other safe adults they can turn to.
Feelings check-in pages include labelled expressive faces for emotions such as scared, sad, silly, shy, hurt, excited, frustrated, angry, loved, content, calm, proud, happy, tired, quiet and nervous. Children can colour the emotions or draw facial expressions, making the pages suitable for emotional literacy work, wellbeing check-ins and counselling sessions.
A final affirmation colouring sheet reads, “I am strong, brave, and capable of anything. I believe in myself.” School counsellors, child therapists, pastoral staff and parents can print individual pages for one-to-one sessions, classroom calm corners, home activities or conversations with primary-aged children.
